Version 2.5 Plans & CGs


Decided to write this as I'm uploading version 2.3.8. With any chance it will be the last before version 2.5, I'm gonna start sending it to youtubers for possible playthroughs.

Version 2.5:

-Will include a new tutorial area between the ToB and the Docks (the previous cart that takes the player from the docks to the ToB will be gone, and the player will instead have to walk the distance). There are two reasons for this: 1)I feel like going from the tutorial-level docks straight to one of the bigger cities in the game is a bit overwhelming. 2)Since questing is the main source of experience now, I want to add more quests to the game so the player can safely earn a level or two before heading out in the wilds.

-Will include 2 CGs for Azar's 2 possible h-scenes from Stoichion (https://www.deviantart.com/stoichion), and a CG for the wererat's possible h-scene by Owlrless (https://www.fiverr.com/owlrless), the guy who did her bust.

-It "might" also feature a new custom dialogue and choice box, and a new custom choice pointer (the little hand that shows which choice you've selected) by Yummyglitzer (the guy who has done all the new sprites). Yummy has told me he won't be available until March 10th, so the inclusion of these will depend on how quickly Stoichion and Owlrless work on the CGs (I wouldn't hold my breath).

As a preview, one of Azar's UNFINISHED CGs for the upcoming patch. Keep in mind, there will be changes made to it besides shadings etc, but it looks too great not to share, even in its half-finished state:

To see them in the full glorious HDs along with a lot of other stuff and some in-game content, you will have to get the Support DLC once the (free) game comes out on Steam (sometime after version 4 comes out, so we've got a long road ahead).

In unrelated news, I have also been working on version 4 of Ayumi (will be named Ayumi: Yellow Edition or something similar, haven't decided yet), my 2016 Steam game. The original game was made in VX Ace, which I have now transferred to MV (higher resolutions, more mechanics to play with), and I have an artist called Moon_Cradle (https://twitter.com/Amber3183/media) making art for it. We've actually finished almost all of the CGs for the new version, and I'll soon start looking for a sprite artist. Frankly, it looks great so far.

Honestly, you should fix all the bugs present before adding in more new content. It's more important to be able to play it than for new bugged content to come out.

I fix them as people report them. Version 2.3.8 deals with all the ones that have been mentioned till now.

Edit: I also completed a berserker playthrough recently and fixed everything that popped up along the way, so I think most of it is bug-free now.
